After teasing fans for days, Nicole Scherzinger has just released a stunning new music video for her single On The Rocks. All in black and white, the sultry clip is very cinematic and very raw.
The video portrays the emotional upheaval of a break up – the anger, the tears, the pain – followed by freedom and release.
Speaking of the song to BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills, Nicole said: “This song is really personal to me. I love it. It’s a break up song.I want the girls and all the people out there who’s ever had a hard time in a relationship to put this song on repeat and feel really empowered.”
Produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Nicole confirmed that “On the Rocks” is actually inspired by one of her past relationships, although she has not confirmed which one.
On The Rocks follows Your Love and serves as the second single from Nicole’s forthcoming new album (still untitled) and the music video premiered today, September 5. The single will officially be released on October 12 through RCA Records and in the US via Epic Records.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter was born and raised in Houston, Texas and rose to fame in the late 1990s as lead singer of R&B girl-group Destiny’s Child. Her career has spanned 16 years – she has won 17 Grammy awards and sold over 75 million records as a solo artist and a further 60 million as part of Destiny’s Child. This makes her one of the best selling artists of all time. In 2009, Billboard named her the Top Radio Songs Artist of the Decade, the Top Female Artist of the 2000s and their Artist of the Millennium in 2011. In 2014, she ranked Nº1 in Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list and became the highest-paid black musician in history. Featured on the cover of Time Magazine, she was included in their list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2013 and 2014.
Beyoncé seems to have made her way into everyone’s heart and it’s not too hard to see why. She supports strong women and leads by example. She has managed to make a headlining tour look like child’s play. She completely changed the music game last year by dropping her self titled album as a complete surprise. Her daughter Blue Ivy stole the show at this year’s VMA’s with the words “yeah, Mommy”. Beyonce is a force of nature.
According to Hollywood reports she will be celebrating her birthday in Europe on their yacht with some friends – it’s her favorite way to celebrate. Jay Z will also be buying her some serious bling – but it’s the downtime on the boat that is the most valuable to Queen Bey. And the timing is perfect because they start their tour in France the next week.
So…charge your glasses and be upstanding…A toast to the Queen of Music, May your career continue to flourish and may your family life be as successful as your career. Here’s to Beyoncé!
Sink your fangs into this new trailer for Dracula Untold starring Luke Evans and Dominic Cooper. It’s a cinematic re-envisioning of the infamous vampire’s ‘true’ origins….Could Dracula really be a dark superhero?
The film is based on the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker and portrays the origin of Count Dracula. Vampire mythology is weaved together with the true history of Prince Vlad the Impaler, which basically depicts Dracula as a flawed hero in a tragic love story. Perhaps this is the first time that fans will have been given a much clearer historical perspective of the tale.
Dracula Untold begins in the 15th century, as Vlad (Evans) finds his homeland facing the thread of invasion by the Ottoman Empire, led by Sultan Mehmed II (Dominic Cooper). Desperate to defend his people, Vlad ends up striking a bargain with an ancient evil (Charles Dance) that allows him to gain incredible powers that will help him win the war – but at a terrible cost to his own soul.
Sarah Gadon plays Mirena, the Queen and wife of Dracula the King, and she admitted to be being pretty scared herself whilst filming: “I was really scared making it. In a battle scene, with fighting going on around us, I wiped out a few times. I was running through the forest at top speed – there was mud and it was raining. I had lots of bruises.”
The action epic adventure was written by Mark Sazama and Burk Sharpless and marks the debut of director Gary Shore’s first full length feature film. From the looks of the trailer this is an excellent introduction to the legendary character.
Dracula Untold hits UK cinemas on October 3 and US cinemas on October 17.
Carlos Irwin Estévez was born in New York City, the youngest son of actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton. He became famous after a whole series of successful films: Platoon (1986), Lucas (1986), Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986), Wall Street (1987), Young Guns (1988), Eight Men Out (1988), Major League (1989), Hot Shots! (1991), The Three Musketeers (1993), The Arrival (1996), Money Talks (1997), and Being John Malkovich (1999).
In the 2000s, he became best known for his wonderful television roles – Spin City, for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and Two and a Half Men which earned him several Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations. In 2010, he was the highest paid actor on television, earning 1.8 million dollars per episode of Two and a Half Men. He’s currently starring in the FX comedy series Anger Management.
It’s Charlie’s personal life that has made as many, if not more, headlines as his acting career. There have been many reports of drug and alcohol abuse and he was fired from Two and a Half Men in 2011. But nothing stops Charlie Sheen as he then went on a nationwide tour.
What Charlie says always manages to get in the headlines – here our our top 3 favourite quotes:
“I am on a drug. It’s called Charlie Sheen. It’s not available because if you try it once you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body. It’s too much.”
“I’m tired of pretending I’m not a total bitchin’ rock star from Mars.”
I’m different. I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart. I got tiger blood, man. Dying’s for fools, dying’s for amateurs.
Stripping is not just for professional strippers, in it’s true form it’s an art. It’s an opportunity for women and men to wake up their senses, appreciate their bodies, and bare it all. It can be one of the most beautiful things you’ll ever do or witness, especially in an intimate situation. Of course, it can just be a laugh and a jiggle.Read More
Daniel Radcliffe is devilishly good in Horns – an adaptation of the Joe Hill romantic horror novel.
(To watch this trailer in Creation 5 Media app, just tap here.)
This Halloween you will get the chance to see Daniel Radcliffe become the devil…After watching this movie it looks like all notions of Daniel Radcliffe as a bespectacled little boy in Harry Potter will finally be blown away. We are a million miles away from cosy old Hogwarts with this movie – rape, murder, small town bigotry and a man growing horns.
Based on Joe Hill’s book this movie is quite a delicate balance between horror, humour and romance. Joe Hill is by far one of the best fantasy/horror writers around at the moment and the movie has become one of the most highly anticipated horror films this year. It’s a supernatural thriller that follows Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) who is the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend Merrin (Juno Temple). Ig wakes up one morning with a horrible hangover and finds horns starting to grow from his head. These horns possess a power that drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most unspeakable impulses – an effective tool in his mission to find out the true killer and for exacting revenge.
The whole concept of the film is intriguing, or could it be just plain weird? Positive reviews have already been made after the film’s screening at the Toronto International Film Festival and with such potential in the source material it does look like a film really worth seeing – especially on Halloween…
The annual iTunes Festival in London returns tonight for its eighth edition and will run for 30 nights during September, showcasing some of the biggest and most diverse names in music. The festival takes place at Camden’s historic Roundhouse, one of London’s most intimate and special venues. Apple will be streaming the live shows via iTunes – so everyone can watch the action, from the comfort of their own home. And if you have Apple TV you can stream it straight to your Big Screen.

Since its inception, more than 400 artists have performed at the festival, while millions of fans have watched the magic live. In an interview with The Guardian, Oliver Schusser, Senior Director of iTunes International at Apple, said that he hopes that fans are happy with the selection of artists on offer this year.
“This is our eighth year, and from the first year on, for us it was about diversity” he said. “It’s really a fully-curated month: we want to make sure we have some pop artists, some classical artists, jazz. Some well-established artists, and some up-and-coming artists that we really believe in. I’m really proud, because I think it’s as diverse as we can get.”
Indeed, this year’s line-up is quite the mixed bag of goodies and surprises. Deadmau5 is to kick off the festivities tonight, while Clean Bandit, Tony Bennett, Kiesza, Sam Smith, Jungle, Pharrell Williams, Foxes, Mary J. Blige, Blondie, Lenny Kravitz, Kylie Minogue and Ed Sheeran are amongst those on the eclectic line up. It has just been confirmed that opera legend Plácido Domingo will close the festival.
The festival itself has had a major influence on the timing of new releases and marketing campaigns targeted around artists performing at the event. “It feels like this has become really a great part of everyone’s promo activity, from a label and manager and artist perspective”, explains Schusser. “It happened already two years ago: all of a sudden this became a key part of everyone’s plan. Lady Gaga opened last year on the first, and that was the kick-off for her new project, and the same for Katy Perry at the end.”
As always, tickets to attend the festival cannot be purchased and are being handed out to contest winners in Europe, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Mexico and the U.S., via online competitions run by local media partners on platforms such as iTunes, Twitter and Shazam, in newspapers such as the London Evening Standard and on radio stations like Global Radio.
iTunes provides live-streaming, live news feeds, and even a way for fans to apply for tickets. It also allows people to stream the September gigs for free in more than 100 countries.
This is Apple’s genius way of giving the festival a global profile and allowing up-and-coming artists in support slots – Jungle, Foxes, Jess Glynne, Luke Sital-Singh, MNEK and Wolf Alice – to reach a worldwide audience. Not only is this an excellent way of promoting these artists, it also gives the London festival a first-class rating.
“We do invest a lot in the technology: spending a lot of time, energy and R&D in making sure we have the right cameras, the best angles, the synchronisation between the cameras and the stage. It’s really a one-year project every time.”
