Calvin Harris and soul-singer John Newman have finally released the music video for their killer track Blame where they’re surrounded by lingerie-clad women…It’s tough at the top you know…

Directed by Emil Nava the video opens with the boys at their respective mansions giving the cold shoulder to girls they have just spent the night with. The ending is completely bizarre – the girls dive into water – sinks, ice-buckets, hot tubs – and are all teleported to the same pool miles away. Anyway, without trying to understand it, the visual is beautifully put together and compliments the song perfectly. Although trying to blame it ‘on the night’, instead of the fact that they are such players is questionable… 🙂

Following the song’s worldwide premier last week, it is currently leading the race to the Nº1 spot on the UK charts. If nothing changes from now until Sunday it will be Calvin Harris’s 5th UK Nº1 – I’m Not Alone (2009), Sweet Nothing (2012), Under Control (2013) and Summer (2014).

The track already hit the Nº1 spot on Spotify’s Global Chart – within 3 days of being released, making it the fastest-ever climber to the top.

Blame is the second cut to be taken from Harris’s upcoming new album, following the previous chart topper Summer.

The eagerly-anticipated trailer for I am Ali is here! The film promises to deliver a never-seen-before look at the iconic fighter, a personal and intimate look at the man behind the legend, told from the inside.

From the producers of the award-winning Searching for the Sugarman this documentary is a really personal and up-close look at Muhammad Ali. The story is told through exclusive access to Ali’s personal archive of ‘audio journals’ combined with intimate interviews from his inner circle of family and friends – his children, ex-wife, brother, plus legends form the boxing community like Mike Tyson, George Foreman and Gene Kilroy.

Executive producer John Battsek comments: “It’s a film built around phone conversations that Ali recorded for many years with his family. That’s the spine of the film. It’s a very personal perspective on Ali, from Ali – in a way – through a 20-year period of his life when he was still fighting,” he told Screen Daily.

Directed by Clare Lewins and produced by Clare Lewins, George Chignell and Greg Hobden this intimate portrait tells the story of Cassius Clay’s transformation into a living legend. It arrives in theatres and on demand on October 10, 2014.

Elusive house producer Mario Basanov aka Ten Walls climbs a massive 181 places to Nº 3 on the UK charts with Walking with Elephants. The new music video, released a week ago, is completely mesmerising and utterly magnificent.

The track was originally released on an EP earlier this year and all summer long has been very successful in clubs across Europe. Now, with the release of the track and a new awesome music video the song just might make it to number one in the UK. #TenWallsForNumber1

The surreal music video, directed by Nez, best known for his work with Rudimental, Disclosure and M.I.A. was filmed in the UK in Dungeoness, Kent and the footage was captured on land and air. The whole visual is completely arresting right from the start. Then, about halfway through, it becomes even more amazing when costumed men start leaping like dolphins through the waves. This is the new sport of Flyboarding – but with all the gear required to make this happen – jetpacks attached to the flyboarders’ feet, the jet-skis and tube that pull them, all rendered invisible in the video.

The talent of Ten Walls seems to be in providing you with a truly new experience. So many DJs are using this song in their sets, it has a perfectly balanced build up and the timing of the break is perfection. There is plenty of hype around Ten Walls and tracks like this prove it is all justified.

Walking With Elephants was officially released on September 7 via Ten Walls’ own label, Boso.

Check out the new trailer for The Boy Next Door starring Jennifer Lopez as a high school teacher having an affair with one of her students. Big mistake. It reminds us of Michael Douglas’s 1987 film Fatal Attraction. It’s a bit creepy.

Jennifer Lopez plays a high school teacher and mother of a young son who finds out that her husband is cheating on her. Noah, the boy who just moved in next door, played by Ryan Guzman, pays her one compliment and so starts a run of many flirtatious exchanges. Noah can’t get enough of her and soon they have a passionate affair. He becomes obsessed and slowly starts to ruin her life, from email hacking to manipulating her son.

Moral of the story? Be careful who you get into bed with.

La Roux channel the phone sex hotline in their new Kiss And Not Tell retro video.

The video features an impressive display of vintage phones – enough to make you nostalgic about your landline! There is a lip phone, a hamburger phone and even one that doubles up as a mini keyboard. Plenty of anonymous heavy breathers steam up the line as Elly Jackson (La Roux) plays the operator.

A British telephone number flashes across the screen, inviting viewers to call +44-155-728-0014. The number is real and if you do call you’ll reach the La Roux Hotline where you have the option to listen to a recording of Kiss and Not Tell or leave your own ‘cheeky’ message with the warning, “be careful what you say, these recordings can and will be shared.”

The visual is impeccably styled – whoever had to source all those 80s phone must have had a ball. The whole concept of the clip is interesting, unbelievably the phone sex hotline has never really gone out of fashion after all these years – perhaps it’s the sound of the human voice that keeps it fashionable on the pay-for-pleasure circuit.

La Roux was formed in 2006 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. Their debut album La Roux (2009) was a huge success, winning a Grammy Award for Best Electronic Dance Album and producing hit singles such as In for the Kill and Bulletproof. Langmaid left the group and Elly released a second album Trouble in Paradise on her own.

Kiss And Not Tell is the second single to be taken from La Roux’s chart-topping Trouble in Paradise album that was released last month on Polydor. The single will be released on October 6.

Oo la la – we’re blushing watching Lenny Kravitz’s music video for his new song The Chamber. Filmed at glamorous locations in Paris, including Lenny’s own luxurious pad, Lenny gets very naughty in this sizzling hot cinematic visual. Directed by Anthony Mandler (Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Eminem) and featuring supermodel Rianne Ten Haken, some of the filming was at the Church of Saint-Germain and Pont Neuf (the first time it’s ever been closed for a shoot).

The racy video poses the question – is it art or is it porn? Sure, there is no twerking or butt jiggling right in your face, this is an entirely elegant approach, but it does remind us of that certain book…it’s certainly 50 Shades of Grey-inspired.

The Chamber is the lead single from Lenny’s 10th album, Strut. Having sold nearly 40 million albums in his career, guitar legend and wild child, Lenny Kravitz continues his rock ’n’ roll reign. The entire album (12 songs) explores the concept of desire in all it’s forms. “This record brought me back to a place of what I love so much about music,” Kravitz says. “Back to the feelings I had when I was in high school. It’s a real rock and roll record – it’s raw, it’s got soul and it came together really quickly.”

Catch Lenny live at Wembley Arena on December 6. The Chamber is out now on iTunes and the album Strut is released on September 23 – the first release on Kravitz’s own Roxie Records.

G.R.L. band member Simone Battle tragically took her own life by hanging, aged 25. She was found dead two days ago in her West Hollywood home and a Los Angeles country coroner confirmed the cause of death on Sunday. G.R.L.s debut single, Ugly Heart is currently at Nº11 on the UK singles chart.

Simone shot straight to fame in 2011 when she was taking part in the X Factor USA. She was then recruited by the Pussycat Dolls Robin Antin to form the brand new girls group G.R.L.

G.R.L. founder, Robin Antin, posted a message to her Instagram account on Saturday: “I’m so beyond devastated by the loss of our beautiful Simone … Simone I will miss your smile, Your adorable laugh, Your loving spirit that you brought to all of us, The joy that you felt when you were singing, dancing, performing, laughing, and goofing around with your GRLs, and most of all the beautiful friendship and bond that tied us all together, that will forever be in my heart…” she wrote. “How lucky we are to have had You in our lives Simone, you inspired us all, and touched fans all around the world with your sweet sweet voice and talent…. The whole band is obviously devastated by the loss:” Words cannot express the depth of our loss. Simone’s incredible talent was only surpassed by the size of her heart. We will carry her memory with us in everything we do”.

Berlin-based producer Oliver $ (pronounced Oliver Dollar) and Swiss House DJ Jimi Jules have rocketed straight into the Top 20 on the UK charts with Pushing On – a euphoric deep house track with amazing vibes – that samples Quantic Soul Orchestra’s 2003 single of the same name.

The track was released on Defected records at the beginning of the year and has now been re-released on Ultra Records on August 25. A fantastic music video has been produced to accompany this re-release thats depicts a dancer from the womb to the grave.

This song has universal appeal and could drive anyone to dance for a lifetime! “Until your cold stone grave and your blood runs dry”. In fact, this blissful track is a perfect example of how the combination of a steady beat and a tempered bass line can be so powerful.

Oliver Dollar and Jimi Jules make for an exciting combination. Oliver has already seen quite a bit of success with a Nº1 Beatport release in 2011 and recent collaboration with the legendary Cajmere. Jimi Jules also has an impressive reputation – with industry peers describing him as a fusion of Miles Davies and Herbie Hancock.

The funky team have just released an infectious remix of Freaks’ original from back in 2000 – Wake Up.

Bob Marley’s mega-selling 30-year old album Legend is on course for it’s first visit to the Top 10 on the US album charts! About time!

The album, which was released in 1984 by Island Records, has sold steadily over the years but incredibly has never visited the Top 10 before.

Legend is a compilation album by Bob Marley and the Wailers – a greatest hits collection of singles in its original vinyl format, and the best-selling reggae album of all-time, with over 13 million copies sold in the US and approximately 25 million copies sold globally. In 2003, the album was ranked Nº46 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

The album also holds the distinction of being the second longest-charting album in the history of Billboard magazine. If you combine its chart life on the Billboard 200 and the Top Pop Catalog Albums charts it has had a chart run of 992 non-consecutive weeks, beaten only by Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon at 1574 weeks.

This sudden surge in chart rankings is thanks to a 99-cent sale on the Google Play Store. The album normally sells for 8 dollars. According to the Universal Music Group which distributes the album, Google is paying the company full price and selects albums for sale promotions “all on their own”. Sale and heavily discounted albums are eligible for inclusion on the Billboard charts so long as they are not priced below $3.49 in their first 4 weeks of release. (Free or giveaway albums are never included).

Pardon Me Feat. Naughty Boy ft. Professor Green, Laura Mvula, Wilkinson & Ava Lily raising awareness for the Peace One Day Organization ahead of World Peace Day on September 21.

Pardon Me is the new single by Shahid Khan (Naughty Boy) and was created for Lynx’s Make Beats, Not War campaign to raise awareness for the Peace One Day Organization. The British record producer and DJ has managed to merge the contrasting styles of the artists to create a UK Garage-inspired track with an infectious hook. Naughty Boy prides himself on being politically conscious and with the worthy cause and strong central message in this song it looks set to inspire the same in others.

The original version of the song included vocals of Tanika and Ava Stokes but in this re-issue Naughty Boy added Professor Green, Laura Mvula, Wilkinson and Bristol newcomer singer-songwriter Ava Lily. This new version of the track, named Lynx Peace Edition will be released as a charity single.

Naughty Boy is at the top of his game, already scoring a Nº1 hit with ‘La La La’ feat. Sam Smith and has worked with mega stars such as Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande and Tinie Tempah. Recently he has been collaborating with One Direction on their next album.

Pardon Me comes from Naughty Boy’s acclaimed debut album Hotel Cabanna that was released on August 23, 2013 via Virgin/EMI.

After teasing fans for days, Nicole Scherzinger has just released a stunning new music video for her single On The Rocks. All in black and white, the sultry clip is very cinematic and very raw.

The video portrays the emotional upheaval of a break up – the anger, the tears, the pain – followed by freedom and release.

Speaking of the song to BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills, Nicole said: “This song is really personal to me. I love it. It’s a break up song.I want the girls and all the people out there who’s ever had a hard time in a relationship to put this song on repeat and feel really empowered.”

Produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Nicole confirmed that “On the Rocks” is actually inspired by one of her past relationships, although she has not confirmed which one.

On The Rocks follows Your Love and serves as the second single from Nicole’s forthcoming new album (still untitled) and the music video premiered today, September 5. The single will officially be released on October 12 through RCA Records and in the US via Epic Records.

Sink your fangs into this new trailer for Dracula Untold starring Luke Evans and Dominic Cooper. It’s a cinematic re-envisioning of the infamous vampire’s ‘true’ origins….Could Dracula really be a dark superhero?

The film is based on the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker and portrays the origin of Count Dracula. Vampire mythology is weaved together with the true history of Prince Vlad the Impaler, which basically depicts Dracula as a flawed hero in a tragic love story. Perhaps this is the first time that fans will have been given a much clearer historical perspective of the tale.

Dracula Untold begins in the 15th century, as Vlad (Evans) finds his homeland facing the thread of invasion by the Ottoman Empire, led by Sultan Mehmed II (Dominic Cooper). Desperate to defend his people, Vlad ends up striking a bargain with an ancient evil (Charles Dance) that allows him to gain incredible powers that will help him win the war – but at a terrible cost to his own soul.

Sarah Gadon plays Mirena, the Queen and wife of Dracula the King, and she admitted to be being pretty scared herself whilst filming: “I was really scared making it. In a battle scene, with fighting going on around us, I wiped out a few times. I was running through the forest at top speed – there was mud and it was raining. I had lots of bruises.”

The action epic adventure was written by Mark Sazama and Burk Sharpless and marks the debut of director Gary Shore’s first full length feature film. From the looks of the trailer this is an excellent introduction to the legendary character.

Dracula Untold hits UK cinemas on October 3 and US cinemas on October 17.

He became famous after a whole series of successful films: Platoon (1986), Lucas (1986), Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986), Wall Street (1987), Young Guns (1988), Eight Men Out (1988), Major League (1989), Hot Shots! (1991), The Three Musketeers (1993), The Arrival (1996), Money Talks (1997), and Being John Malkovich (1999).

In the 2000s, he became best known for his wonderful television roles – Spin City, for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and Two and a Half Men which earned him several Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations. This Halloween you will get the chance to see Daniel Radcliffe become the devil…After watching this movie it looks like all notions of Daniel Radcliffe as a bespectacled little boy in Harry Potter will finally be blown away. We are a million miles away from cosy old Hogwarts with this movie – rape, murder, small town bigotry and a man growing horns.

Based on Joe Hill’s book this movie is quite a delicate balance between horror, humour and romance. Joe Hill is by far one of the best fantasy/horror writers around at the moment and the movie has become one of the most highly anticipated horror films this year. It’s a supernatural thriller that follows Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) who is the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend Merrin (Juno Temple). Ig wakes up one morning with a horrible hangover and finds horns starting to grow from his head. These horns possess a power that drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most unspeakable impulses – an effective tool in his mission to find out the true killer and for exacting revenge.

The whole concept of the film is intriguing, or could it be just plain weird? Positive reviews have already been made after the film’s screening at the Toronto International Film Festival and with such potential in the source material it does look like a film really worth seeing – especially on Halloween…

French-Israeli double act Lilly Wood & The Prick storm to Nº1 in the UK with the Robin Schulz remix of their 2010 release, Prayer In C. Already Nº1 all over Europe, this track is hot!

The alternative pop/folk duo originally released Prayer in C in 2010 but after being remixed by the magic production fingers of German DJ Robin Schulz in June 2014 it became really popular all over Europe reaching the Nº1 spot in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland. Antonio Banderas takes his first dive into the world of Sci-Fi and a dystopian future, yet maintaining a very philosophical edge to the film. This may be the only time we’ll get to see the actor on the big screen alongside his ex-wife, actress Melanie Griffith.

The film takes place on Earth, in the not so distant year of 2044. Our planet is suffering due to the deterioration of the environment and robots are coexisting alongside with humanity. Jacq Vaucan (Antonio Banderas) is an insurance agent in a multinational robotics company “ROC”. His job is to detect malfunctioning robot units and isolated cases of erratic behavior. During the course of his work, Jacq will witness a series of events, which may determine the future of all humanity! An android has been able to skip the second law of robotics, put forth by writer Isaac Asimov, which states that a robot cannot alter itself or others. No more spoilers… But one thing is for sure, that action and suspense are bound to follow!

The trailer guarantees fantastic visual quality and excellent special effects, which will keep us immersed in the story. As well as Antonio Banderas’ surprising new look for the film. To get a feel for Automata, think of other hits such as Will Smith’s “I, Robot” (2004), Ridley Scott’s classic “Blade Runner” (1982) and “Minority Report” (2002) directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise. They all share a very similar aesthetic, so if you’re a sci-fi fan, you can’t miss out!

The film is of Bulgarian-Spanish production, directed by filmmaker Gabe Ibañez. The cast is truly luxurious, headlining Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, as well as international stars such as Dylan McDermott (In the Line of Fire), Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (actress from the cult Danish series Borgen), Robert Forster (Breaking Bad) and Tim McInnerny (Notting Hill).

Banderas himself calls the film his “baby”, as he not only stars in the flick, but is also the main producer. He told EFE that “[It is] a philosophical, scientific concept called singularity, which is the time in which machines actually overcome the human mind. So it’s a very reflective philosophical science fiction.”

Automata will be released in the US on the 10th of October. There are no exact release dates for the rest of the world yet, but what we do know, is that the Spanish audience will get to enjoy it in the next Film Festival in San Sebastian, where the flick will be competing.

A small fact for tabloid lovers. Antonio and Melanie announced the news of their divorce, after 18 years of marriage, just during the post-production of this film, back in June. Do you think there’ll be any noticeable negative energy in the scenes they share together?

British singer/rapper, Elliot John Gleave, better known by his stage name of Example, has just released a new music video for 10 Million People, taken from his top 10 album Live Life Living. (His name arose due to his initials being E.G., which is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase exempli gratia (“for example”).

The track was written after watching a documentary on early 90s rave culture. Example explains: “I found this video online where they were interviewing people at an illegal rave. The guy with the microphone said to one of the revellers ‘surely this whole rave thing is just a fad’. And the raver replied ‘well, 10 million people can’t be wrong’.

“I wrote and produced the track in a day with Fraser T Smith. It’s my favourite song on the album and feels timeless for me. Right at the last minute I went back in and added a rap at the start, just like I did on last single ‘One More Day’.”

10 Million People is the latest single to be lifted from Example’s fifth studio album Live Life Living and will be officially released on October 5. Live Life Living was released through Epic Records on July 7 and went straight to Nº8 on the UK album charts and Nº1 on the dance charts.

The time has come! The fifth and final Season of HBOs thrilling Boardwalk Empire beings in just a week! And the story races ahead 7 years from where it left off at the end of Season 4 to 1931. But this is a role – because there are so many levels to this guy – that every actor dreams of. This is up there with any of the best roles I’ve played.”

The fifth and final season of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire premieres Sunday, September 7 at 9pm on HBO and on Sky Atlantic in the UK on September 13.

The British singer/producer has been quiet since his Nº1 collaboration with Emeli Sande, Beneath Your Beautiful, back in 2012. It seems that he has decided to embrace his more experimental side for his return, with more soulful sounds.

“When I was making this song I was influenced by Electric Light Orchestra, Nina Simone, James Brown and John Barry. Basically, I wanted to go gospel and soul and mix it with rock and electronic production. I know it’s a lot to ask, and I hope people get it.” Labrinth told OfficialCharts.com

The music video features a constantly moving camera as it tracks different scenes in Labrinth’s journey of creating his second album. We see him writing lyrics, getting frustrated in record company meetings, not doing the washing up, playing drums, being interviewed on a chat show – all at the same time, very cool.

We will have to wait for early 2015 for his album, but Let It Be will be officially released on September 28. This second album is the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Electronic Earth’.

Usher has just released his sexy new music video for She Came To Give It To You ft Nicki Minaj. Co-written and produced by Pharrell the clip features some brilliant dancing, a tarantula crawling on Minaj and Usher defying gravity…

The majority of the video is filmed inside what seems to be some kind of illegal gambling den and a smoke filled night club. Usher has plenty of beautiful girls trying to grab his attention and just when things reach fever pitch Nicki Minaj struts onto the scene. She shows off her butt, of course, but mostly her front side and raps lines like: “When your girl come through, Nicki gone crush her, And tell your man play the back like a spine. He only last six seconds like a Vine.” Pharrell also makes a cameo appearance in the clip.

The dancing is phenomenal – something we’ve come to expect from Usher – and includes some impeccable shadow-dancing scenes. Nicki and Usher performed the sizzling hot track at the MTV Music Video Awards on Sunday last week.

She Came to Give it to You will be featured on Ushers next album, UR, which Usher has already said will be “freaking out of here”.
