Muse get their war faces on in their new lyric video for Psycho. This adrenaline-pumped song is from their upcoming album, Drones, set to be released June 8, 2015.
The video begins with what seems to be a drill sergeant yelling a spew of army-drenched authoritative dialogue which is featured throughout the entire track, giving the song this intense edge from the get-go. Muse has gone a lot heavier and darker with this style of music, but their fans are crazy for it.
The band co-produced the disc with Robert John ‘’Mutt’’ Lange who has produced albums for the likes of AC/DC, Maroon 5, Nickelback and Shania Twain. The band is currently on tour in the UK and will be travelling around the rest of Europe during the summer months.
Frontman Matt Bellamy had this to say about the track: “To me, drones are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by drones utilising drones to turn us all into drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.”
So, safe to say they’re pretty obsessed with drones at the minute, fair play to them..
