Many say he is the ‘ideal son’ that every mother would dream of. Others blame him for their weight gain due to his popular cooking programme. And almost everyone qualifies him as one of the most versatile communicators in the current Spanish television landscape. Robert Leal is a journalist, runner, blogger, writer, professional carnaval singer and current host of ‘España Directo’ on TVE 1. He has worked with TVE for 9 years now and is their main presenter and most recognisable frontman. To catch Roberto in action tune into to TVE 1 from Monday to Friday at 7:15 pm

Roberto talks about his career and music in an open and insightful interview. You can read it here (en Español).

Roberto has chosen an eclectic mix of sounds for Sunday Sessions this week:

1-Frank Sinatra & Count Basie – Fly Me To The Moon (Original) 1964
“I like to revisit the classics to relax. To those voices that are never turned off ”

2- Facto delafé y las flores azules – Enero en la playa
“One of the songs I love to listen to in winter. With your partner. Without thinking of anything else.”

3-Iggy Pop – Lust for Life
“A phenomenon of the music industry, a brutal personality and a great song.”
