Rapper and producer Charles Hamilton and Rita Ora have premiered the music video for their new single New York Raining. The retro clip, directed by Max and Dania, pays homage to the history of the Civil Rights Movement. Hamilton raps and plays the piano, whilst Ora’s smooth vocals delight the ear – the track is already notching up plenty of radio play.

The radio-friendly single has already left it’s mark on the TV community. Hamilton and Ora showcased the track on the The Voice UK final, as well as on the season finale of Empire, plus NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Hamilton shot to fame in 2009 after being supported and championed by Eminem. Since then he released loads of EPs and mix tapes – but has been out of circulatiom for a while recovering from bipolar disorder and addiction. It’s good to see him back in the game! New York Raining is released in the UK on May 31 via Republic/Virgin EMI.
