#FreeTheNipple - Miley Cyrus wears nothing but a bit of mud and a huge smile on the front cover of July’s Paper Magazine whilst she is hugging her pet pig Bubba Sue. Check out all the “insane” images from this #NSFW photo shoot.
All the images are very Miley, although it’s not easy to understand exactly what’s going on. The creative director on the shoot was Diane Martel (who directed Cyrus' We Can't Stop video) and photographer Paola Kudacki. There was a glass pyramid, quite a bit of body paint and not a lot else.
"I was doing a show two nights ago," Miley Cyrus tells Paper "and I was wearing butterfly nipple pasties and butterfly wings. I'm standing there with my tits out, dressed like a butterfly. How the fuck is that fair? How am I so lucky?"
The Summer 2015 issue is themed ‘Use Your Voice’ and the article is entitled Free to Be Miley. It focuses on Miley’s inspiration behind the Happy Hippie Foundation, a non profit organisation launched earlier this year to help homeless and LGBT kids. The Miley we all know jumps out from the pages but there is also a new Miley, a far more compassionate and concerned Miley with plenty of social-justice dreams.
In other Miley news, revealed in Paper's interview, she has been warned by her label not to to make her next album "too weird". "They're like, 'Don't make it too weird, don't make it avant-garde; you can't go from Miley to Björk'." She continues "I don't have to have writers, I don't have to have f**kin' producers in there. Mike Will will text me a beat, and I'll go in my studio and work on it by myself." You tell 'em Miley.
Paper Magazine hits the newsstands on June 22nd, but you can head over to Paper Magazine and read it online.
