The second Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, and it was promises darkness and drama! The three and a half minute trailer is jam packed with all sorts destruction and cynicism. Will this be the most depressing superhero movie yet? Why is Bruce Wayne so angry at the Man of Steel? The trailer gives us the first real long look at Zack Snyder’s movie and our first glimpse of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).
In the first few seconds of the trailer we see Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) watch in horror as his Wayne Tower crashes to the floor. Affleck said at Comic Con “One of the things I liked was Zack’s idea of showing accountability and the consequences of violence and seeing that there are real people in those buildings, and in fact, one of those buildings was Bruce Wayne’s building so he knew people who died in that Black Zero event.”
Following the destruction of Metropolis, Bruce Wayne receives a disturbing note harking back to the death of his parents, which makes him take to the streets again as the Dark Knight.
We see Bruce Wayne light up the Bat-Signal ahead of some action-packed scenes which show the two superheroes facing off - including Superman ripping the doors right off the Batmobile!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in cinemas on March 25, 2016 in IMAX 3D.
