Ed Sheeran is immortalised

Ed Sheeran is the latest star to become immortalised at Madame Tussauds' hall of fame in New York. At the unveiling ceremony yesterday (May 28) Sheeran was delighted with his effigy and enthusiastically said: "It's so f***ing weird!”

The 24-year old British singing sensation then proceeded to take a few selfies, with himself…and shared them to Instagram. "They've even got my lazy eye in, it's kind of pointing that way."

Waxworks are often a bit hit and miss and there have been some horrible ones in the past, but Sheeran’s is remarkable. Spot the difference!

Speaking in front of a few select members of the press at the unveiling he spoke about what it was like to sit for one of these waxwork “They put you in grey underwear and a grey vest and you stand there for two hours as strangers poke you.”

Madame Tussauds is the ultimate celebrity experience and now the era of the selfie is upon us, you can meet virtually anyone you like. Sheeran joins fellow stars Pharrell Williams, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and many more.
